  22. In Texas where it’s already a law in practice, the patient pays IIRC.I completely agree that a transvaginal ultrasound is a traumatic procedure. Hell, the “wand” or “probe” has to have a freaking condom on it. I had one years ago to rule out a condition having nothing to do with pregnancy. The difference was that I CHOSE to have it after being given all the information and options involved. Still, it was traumatic and I can only imagine how much worse it would have been if I had been forced to have it in an already scary and tenuous situation.
