It took me 9 prams to find the perfect pram for my baby boy! Once you choose the right pram then come the great accessories, the sunshade sould be my next investment, the baby can still see, i can still see the baby but he is protected, cool and not getting attacked by the harmful rays while still enjoying being outside in the fresh air – what a great invention!

David, thanks for that post. I think too often the conversations focus on the negative and fail to look at all the great things we are doing in education. Is there things that are not working, sure, but there is still much work to do. Moving forward being positive always gets us further than by looking backward negatively.

So true! Of course we try to give our clients our best designs, and hell, who doesn’t want to add to our portfolios?! But not every project is going into the portfolio, and at the end of the day what’s really important is that the client needs to be happy. To start, I will try to persuade them in my direction if I think they are going astray, but if that doesn’t work, I’ll go with their suggestions. I always say that if they really want to go with ugly, I can do ugly — it’s easier! Then I do exactly what the client wants, laugh about it to myself, and go on to the next piece. They all don’t have to win awards.

Hey Audi, I don't know if this is up your alley, but I love the Buckle.com site when I'm shopping for jeans, because: they offer jeans in many lengths (30" – 36"), and the site has a button near the top of the page that lets you "Show Backs". I'll tell you what makes me hopping mad are parents who are afraid to be parents and say "No" to their children, and I think this is linked to your article. We seem to be either in one ditch: can't say no to the little darlings because we want them to like us, and then by the time they are 12 we are afraid of them–afraid to say no. Or the other ditch we are abusive and only say no. I think both comes from being preoccupied with our own needs to the point that no one wants to "parent" anymore. It took me 9 prams to find the perfect pram for my baby boy! Once you choose the right pram then come the great accessories, the sunshade sould be my next investment, the baby can still see, i can still see the baby but he is protected, cool and not getting attacked by the harmful rays while still enjoying being outside in the fresh air – what a great invention!

Is there things that are not working, sure, but there is still much work to do. Moving forward being positive always gets us further than by looking backward negatively.

So true! Of course we try to give our clients our best designs, and hell, who doesn’t want to add to our portfolios?! But not every project is going into the portfolio, and at the end of the day what’s really important is that the client needs to be happy. To start, I will try to persuade them in my direction if I think they are going astray, but if that doesn’t work, I’ll go with their suggestions. I always say that if they really want to go with ugly, I can do ugly — it’s easier! Then I do exactly what the client wants, laugh about it to myself, and go on to the next piece. They all don’t have to win awards.

Hey Audi, I don't know if this is up your alley, but I love the Buckle.com site when I'm shopping for jeans, because: they offer jeans in many lengths (30" – 36"), and the site has a button near the top of the page that lets you "Show Backs". I'll tell you what makes me hopping mad are parents who are afraid to be parents and say "No" to their children, and I think this is linked to your article. We seem to be either in one ditch: can't say no to the little darlings because we want them to like us, and then by the time they are 12 we are afraid of them–afraid to say no. Or the other ditch we are abusive and only say no. I think both comes from being preoccupied with our own needs to the point that no one wants to "parent" anymore. Everyone wants to be friends with their kids instead of parents!
